Rotary Club project provides ‘Flags Across Mineral Wells’

MINERAL WELLS — Six times a year, hundreds of large American flags affixed to tall silver poles pop up outside Mineral Wells homes and businesses. You might be one who wonders where did those flags come from, and who put them there? They represent Rotary Club of Mineral Wells’ flag subscription service, and if your home or business is not a subscriber, or you need to renew your subscription, the time is now to get on the list for 2023.

2003 Lady Longhorns being honored in Gordon

Reminder! The Gordon Lady Longhorns are gearing up to play the Strawn Lady Greyhounds in a couple of weeks and recognize a special group of Lady Longhorn ballers. The 2003 Lady ‘Horns were State semifinalists and as we approach the 20th anniversary of that big season, the current Lady ‘Horns organization will be honoring them following their game against Strawn on January 13. Gordon Athletics ask that the public come to help cheer on the current Lady Longhorns and celebrate the alumni team and the anniversary of their achievements!
