MWPD presents employee awards

Four members of the Mineral Wells Police Department were recently honored for their work and received 2024 Yearly Employee Awards. Police Chief Tim Denison said the awards were given to employees who have gone above and beyond in making the department a great place to work, demonstrating outstanding dedication, teamwork and innovation throughout the year.

County issues burn ban

The Palo Pinto County Commissioners Court voted to implement a burn ban at Monday’s meeting. With the ban in place, residents are prohibited from outdoor burning until the order is lifted, including burning brush/tree piles when clearing land.
