MINERAL WELLS – The Rams had a big week, winning their final regular season game in week 11 over the Burkburnett Bulldogs.

A major key to that win was senior running back Kayden Montalvo who had a game high 164 rushing yards and a touchdown in the 27-17 win over the Bulldogs. The win helped the Rams clinch third place in district and set up their bi-district playoff game with the second place Benbrook Bobcats.

That effort by Montalvo, earned him ‘Player of the Week’ by the Mineral Wells Church of God, as he was presented with the award for the third time this season by Pastor Jerrel Tomlin. Montalvo has come up huge for the Rams in several games throughout the season leading the Rams as their primary rusher and making big plays on both offense and defense.
