2025 Palo Pinto County Fair open for entries

The 2025 Palo Pinto County Fair will be held Jan. 8 – 9.

County residents of all ages and students enrolled in Palo Pinto County schools are encouraged to enter. The annual event will be held at the Sheriff’s Posse Building on Farm-to-Market Road 1821 in Mineral Wells.

Registration is open at https://palopintocounty.fairentry.com. The deadline to enter the Photography category is Jan. 2, 2025.

Participants will upload their digital images during the registration process. No printed photos are required. All other items must be entered before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

Participants are encouraged to complete the registration process online before bringing their items to the fair for judging and before Jan. 8. This will allow fair volunteers to have participant’s entry cards pre-printed with their information.

Other than photography, entries must be dropped off for judging on Wednesday, January 8 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

A variety of classes are available in Art; Photography; Needlework, Quilting and Sewing; Hobbies and Crafts; Shop and Tack; Baked Goods and Candy; Canned Goods; and the Kiddies Department. All entries should have been completed since the 2024 fair and be in good condition.

There are a few other special rules in some of the divisions:

  • All entries in the Baked Goods and Candies Division should be on disposable plates, pans or covered firm cardboard and should be wrapped in clear plastic or placed in a zip lock bag. Recipes are required to be uploaded at the time of entry or provided when dropping off the entry. Items requiring refrigeration will not be accepted.
  • Items in the Canned Goods Division should be in standard canning jars with a ring in place. Each entry must be labeled with the contents and date of processing.

Participants may enter three items per class in their appropriate age group. A $2 fee will be charged for each entry. The complete rules and list of classes are available on the registration site or at http://palopinto.agrilife.org.

Competition age groups are Kiddies, second grade and under; Junior, third – fifth grades; Intermediate, sixth – eighth grades; Senior, ninth – twelfth grades; and Adult.
