MINERAL WELLS – Do you like attention to detail and want the city to have sound governance?
Then you may be a candidate for the Mineral Wells Charter Review Commission.
The commission will look at the City Charter to recommend changes to the city council. No degree is necessary. Applicants will be guided by the city attorney’s office to ensure suggestions comply with state and federal law.
“To me, the ideal applicant cares about good local government and having a good ‘handbook’ to guide our elected officials and staff,” said Ward 3 Councilwoman Beth Watson. “It is also helpful if an applicant enjoys paying attention to details.”
The city is accepting applicants through early in the new year. The application is one short page and is available on the city website or in person at the City Clerk’s Office, 115 SW First Ave.

The Charter Review Commission will meet regularly throughout 2025, Watson added.
