Cody Worrell’s Rams Week at a Glance

The Rams and Lady Rams are very busy this time of year and Athletic Director Cody Worrell gave us an update on what their week looks like, from the field to the court.

In Cross Country news, the varsity boys competed in Lubbock yesterday at the regional meet, after qualifying as a team, claiming the district title for the second year in a row. In an update from the coaching staff, the boys didn’t finish as well as hoped but had a great experience overall. They finished 8th as a team with 269 points.

Volleyball will take the court tonight to match up with Brownwood in district play with sub varsity teams beginning at 5, followed by varsity. The Lady Rams will take on Graham Friday evening beginning at 4:30 in Graham.

JV Golf hosted their fall tournament at Holiday Hills Country Club this week as well, working on their game for the spring season.

The most talked about story of the week, is the Rams football team in week two of district play, taking on the Brock Eagles last Friday night. The Rams lost the game, but not without a fight. They competed very well, until the final buzzer and held the strong Eagles offense to only 14 points, with the other score coming from special team. Worrell added, “The Rams look to bounce back in another district showdown against #5 state ranked Graham at Graham this Friday night starting at 7:00 p.m.”

The JR High Rams will take the field tonight, with 8th grade playing at home, and the 7th grade hitting the road. Both teams will be facing Graham.
