Someone stole the two largest seeding sunflower stalks from in front of the Palo Pinto Press office.
How ghastly ghostly of you. Here’s hoping the birds at your house are as happy as the doves on East Hubbard are hungry.
So much for trying to create ambience by xeriscaping. Onward through the fog.
Kudos to Carol Arneson and the entire CW Festival crew and exhibitors for another great year.
After closing the Mineral Wells Art Association exhibit at the Crazy Water Festival, a hot chocolate at 76067 Coffee and Cocktails seemed in order.
Who should appear? Two of the newest retail vendors of the Press. This Ole Heifer much enjoyed seeing you out on the town, Summer Bik and Maddie Shrestha. Your handling of the single copy newspaper sales at the 4766 FM 1195 Mineral Wells location is sincerely appreciated.
Thanks to all of you who visited the Press office recently. Your in person subscription renewals are much appreciated. And it is great to catch up with you and hear what you’ve been doing in the community.
Special shout out to Jerry Kelley and Dan Anderson and Butch Ernst who keep everyone in their respective spheres hopping. The flower man, the beekeeper and the goat herder always bring a smile to this Ole Heifer’s face. They are each instrumental in keeping the Palo Pinto County economy growing and in supporting the Press.
Dan’s soulmate Judy Montgomery Anderson would like to offer her compliments to the young man who was assisting attendees of the Crazy Water Festival with packing in and packing out chairs. According to Judy, Dan always “gets it done” but a bit of help over uneven terrain is always appreciated.
Judy didn’t have the fellow’s name on the tip of her tongue. So if any of you readers know who it was, please extend her appreciation. This Ole Heifer must remark, Judy is beginning to look more and more like Thelma Doss. But really, Judy, you need to start carrying a note pad. Moo. Moo. And Moot, Moot!
