MINERAL WELLS—Nate Eicher didn’t travel by car, truck or foot to cast his Election Day ballot – he opted for a more traditional Lone Star mode of transportation.
His rope horse, Tater.
“We just thought we’d bring the horse down and ride into town and vote,” Eicher said. “This is the way we do it in Texas.”
Eicher and his wife, Amy, have a ranch north of Mineral Wells. They were at the Palo Pinto County Courthouse Annex in Mineral Wells early in the day to vote, Nov. 5.
“Go out and vote,” Eicher said. “It’s our privilege. It’s our right.”
