Sooooo!!! How’d you like our new paper? Personally, I thought it was awesome! It not only brings us local news, but gives us something to hold in our hands, sit back and take a few minutes to look at what is interesting to us. And we don’t hafta be looking at a screen, unless we want to! I believe that this publication is here for the long haul and will give our county residents many hours of pleasure throughout the years.
MINERAL WELLS - Crazy About Film Festival honorable mention winners LaMonte Hanyes, Michael Charron and Brandon Smallwood pose on the red carpet at _e Hatchet House in Mineral Wells, Aug. 20. Hanyes and Brandon wrote and starred in the short film, “When It’s Your Turn2: Surprise Birthday.” Charron directed the comedy, “First Impressions.” _e film, “Tejano Night” directed and written by Alexander Rosales, took home the top award. Rosales was not present at the event. _e film festival included film screenings and special events, Aug. 19-21.
