PALO PINTO COUNTY — Fifty years ago, the local chapter of Palo Pinto County Retired Teachers Association held its first meeting. Statewide, the group is known as Texas Retired Teachers Association.

Volunteer Coordinator and Boyce Ditto Library Advisory Board Member Dawna Martin has a well-organized program that utilizes the countless hours of volunteer work to counter staff shortages and keep the library circulating the many materials that the residents of Palo Pinto County depend upon.
PK West Volunteer Fire Dept organizes auxiliary
