MINERAL WELLS — A sworn statement from Mineral Wells Police Officer Misty Harkins describes finding Douglas Warren “laying on the ground breathing but unconscious, with a pool of blood under his head,” following an early morning assault at a local Whataburger, Dec. 18.

Reminder! The Gordon Lady Longhorns are gearing up to play the Strawn Lady Greyhounds in a couple of weeks and recognize a special group of Lady Longhorn ballers. The 2003 Lady ‘Horns were State semifinalists and as we approach the 20th anniversary of that big season, the current Lady ‘Horns organization will be honoring them following their game against Strawn on January 13. Gordon Athletics ask that the public come to help cheer on the current Lady Longhorns and celebrate the alumni team and the anniversary of their achievements!

To top off 2022, Mineral Wells Senior Center had a fantastic birthday party for Dan Jordan, Joyce Ross and Lee Betson. That same evening, a dance was held with music by Heart Song DJ, Kim Duley.
