MINERAL WELLS — Chris Brooks and Maegan Smeal have been “seeing” each other for some time now. Maegan thought it was time they send out photo Christmas cards together. So they make a date with a photographer to meet at the Crazy Hotel, get dressed up and even bring their two dogs for the pictures for the Merry Christmas cards.
MINERAL WELLS — The annual Veterans Day of Remembrance program is scheduled Thursday, Nov. 10 at Ram Stadium, due to Mineral Wells ISD’s four-day week schedule.
Here’s a heart warmer – a police offi cer who is so kind and considerate that he finds a destitute family, calls his mama and asks her if she can fix the family a meal, goes to other family members to ask for clothes, and takes up a collection from his fellow officers to give this family enough to sustain them for the week until he can make other arrangements.
This week’s Remember Well comes from Kelly North of Mineral Wells. It’s an article published in the Fort Worth Star Telegram on May 8, 1938 – “Fine Scenery Awaits Motorist on 187-Mile Circuit Via Resort City.”

Diabetes is a chronic health condition that affects how the body turns food into energy. Normally the body breaks down most of the food eaten into sugar in the form of glucose.
It was wonderful seeing so many seniors come to Mineral Wells Senior Center and wish John Atkins, Judy Bowers, David Draper, Donna Stafford and June Sights happy birthday. Lunch was served with a beautiful cake.
Carlos was born in Mexico where he studied mechanical engineering. In pursuit of further education, he came to the United States on a student visa in 2001.
