What’s the problem?

I really don’t understand when a person is offered a free ride with no strings attached why would anyone turn it down? I want to describe a life offer, and so I ask, “What is the problem that many turn down the incredible offer?”

Palo Pinto County’s first sheriff

Palo Pinto County has a history of some great sheriffs, including our current sheriff, Brett McGuire. As we were part of the wild west when our county was first formed, a tough man with strong leadership abilities was a necessity, and Palo Pinto County needed such a man when it was formed in 1856 from Bosque and Navarro Counties.
