The looming mental health crisis

Following World II, mental health advocates began a movement in Texas addressing the issue of failing state hospitals. At the time, there were only seven state hospitals, which were overcrowded, prison-like and inadequately staffed. Reformers pushed for the creation of community mental health institutes, where patients could receive better care and protection, contrary to what the former “insane asylum” system provided.

Can it be tamed?

In the Christian walk we face challenges, tests, trials that help us grow up and become productive in the Kingdom of God. Romans 8:28 reminds us that “All thing work together for good to those who Love the Lord, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” So. hopefully, we begin to learn to examine our circumstances to see what God may be working into our character, (Or trying to remove from it).
