Protective Orders: Who Can Get Them?

When Carla, fearing he would use it for drugs, refused to give her son, Tim, money he demanded,he choked her,leaving bruises on her neck. Peggy is afraid of Uncle Jim who has fondled her breasts and made other inappropriate sexual advances toward her. The boy Connie has been dating became violent, threatening to kill her and commit suicide when she suggested they take a break from each other. Tom’s neighbor accosted and sexually assaulted him one evening when he returned home from work.

In my relatively short time living in Mineral Wells I have found it odd to see such a vocal community abandon the one place they should be speaking the loudest. I do not want to look at my children and leave them with a world where I only complained on Facebook but never went where my opinion actually counted.
