Brazos Foundation invests in community for a better tomorrow

PALO PINTO COUNTY — The Brazos Foundation has come a long way since its first grant of $50 to the GoodFellows Fund in 1989. This year the foundation awarded a total of $127,765 in grants to 12 area nonprofits, bringing the total to about $750,000 since the philanthropy was established in the late ’80s, according to Brazos Foundation President Kay Tarkenton.
