GORDON – In the wake of the May 18 tornado’s wrath, Gordon ISD officials are asking for support in rebuilding the school’s athletic and campus facilities.

Classes are cancelled for the remainder of the academic year after athletic and campus facilities were decimated and water damage affected much of the school building, according to district officials.
“The weight of it all really hit today as the shock started to wear off,” the district posted on Facebook, May 22. “We’re heartbroken for our school and community — but we’re also grateful that we still have ways to come together before the year officially ends.”
