GORDON — Monday began the official start of high school football in Texas, with day one on the field for practice. The Gordon Longhorns stepped on the field with a little extra fire inside, to defend their state championship.
They will return most of their starting group that led them to that state championship last fall, plus added a few weapons from last years undefeated JV squad. They will kick off week one of games on August 30 in Marfa, but prior to that they will take the field for some scrimmage games. They will take on Iredell on August 16, and May/Union Hill on August 22.
Check out the photos from day one, thanks to Lily Cormack with Gordon ISD.
