Dear Readers,

By the time you read this, I’ll have hung up my press pass at the Palo Pinto Press.

I’m retiring. I plan to travel, rejuvenate hobbies and spoil the grandkids.

Thank you to all our subscribers, community members and area leaders who welcomed me and responded to my many questions.

I’d also like to say there’s no way the Press would be successful without the expertise and dedication of those who joined the paper at its start, Office Coordinator Lela Abernathy (aka Ole Heifer), Sports Editor Kellci Ford, Multimedia Sales Executive Christa Wilson, PPP Columnists Sue Overton, Mary Ann Rowen and Kelly North. Not only did these women do an incredible job, we quickly became friends as well as colleagues.
