Rams Athletic Director Cody Worrell gives us another great update on the happenings in Rams and Lady Rams athletics.
Starting things off, Worrell gave props to the Cross Country team, who had another great week. They hosted the Ram Invitational last week and performed well. Worrell says, “Both Varsity & JV Boys finished 2nd overall! The Varsity Girls finished 5th place overall, and the JV Girls finished 3rd place overall!”
Next was an update from the volleyball court. Worrell added, “Volleyball lost to state ranked Boyd last Friday night here in Mineral Wells. The Lady Rams look to bounce back this week as they will travel to Abilene on Tuesday…” Also including, “The Lady Rams will also be hosting Pantego Christian on Friday! Good luck to all of our volleyball teams this week!”
From the volleyball court to the tennis court, Worrell gave an exciting update for the tennis team, adding the following statement, “Tennis had another big district win last week! Tennis beat Lake Worth 16-3 last Thursday to secure another district win, bringing their district record to 2-1 on the season!”
Wrapping up the high school news, the Rams football coach gave a brief from the gridiron. Worrell boasted, “Football won 36-6 last Friday night in their home opener against Iowa Park! The Rams host Fort Worth Eastern Hills this Thursday night on Homecoming.”
This week we also got an update from the Junior High front as well. Worrell explained, “The Lady Rams will host Krum, and the 7th grade B team will travel to Aledo [this week]. 7th & 8th Grade A teams will host Ponder on Tuesday, and Junior High Cross Country will travel to Lipan on Wednesday.”
Great job to all the Rams and Lady Rams, we are looking forward to more excellent updates as the season goes on.
