NOV. 30 – Merry Wells Festival and Lighted Christmas Parade in downtown Mineral Wells. The festival runs 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., $5 entry fee, featuring artisan-made goods, shopping, kids’ activities, food trucks and live performances from local musicians and dance troops. The parade starts at 6 p.m., followed by photos with Santa.

DEC. 7 – Strawn Area Chamber of Commerce Merry Hometown Christmas Parade, 6:30 p.m. House decorating and Christmas float contests with cash prizes. Santa will be available for photos at the pavilion following the parade. Cookies and hot cocoa provided. Holiday Open House at the Strawn Depot complete with Christmas Village and Model Train exhibits. Free admission.

DEC. 9 – The 11TH Annual Tree of Angels ceremony, 6:30 p.m., Palo Pinto County Courthouse Annex, 100 SE Sixth Ave., Mineral Wells. Participants are invited to place an angel ornament on a tree in memory and support of victims of violent crimes. Ornaments will be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own.
