Youth volleyball preparing for fall games

Mineral Wells Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up for fall volleyball for girls 13 and under.

Registration for teams and players is August 7 through September 4 with games beginning the weekend of September 21 at the Mineral Wells City Gym. All games will be played either Friday evenings or Saturday.

The season is about six weeks of round robin matches, with teams playing three sets per match, with a tournament at the end of the season to determine the champions. This season there has been a change in age divisions, with the new divisions being: 7 and under, 9 and under, 11 and under, and 13 and under.

If you are interested in coaching, there will be a coaches meeting on September 10 at 6 p.m. at the Mineral Wells Activity Center.
